Job Summary
A Business Developer identifies, pursues, and secures business opportunities that align with the company’s strategic goals. This role involves prospecting, relationship cultivation, market analysis, proposal creation, negotiation, and working cross-functionally to deliver client solutions and drive revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities

Identify new markets, sectors, and potential clients through research, networking, and outreach

Develop and maintain relationships with prospective clients, partners, and industry stakeholders

Generate leads, qualify prospects, and manage a sales pipeline

Prepare and present business proposals, pitches, and contract terms

Negotiate and close deals, ensuring favorable terms while aligning with company goals

Conduct market and competitor analysis to inform strategy and positioning

Collaborate with internal teams (product, marketing, operations, legal) to ensure client needs are delivered

Monitor, track, and report performance metrics, forecasts, and sales activity

Identify upsell or cross-sell opportunities with existing clients

Represent the company at conferences, trade shows, and networking events

Stay updated on industry trends, innovations, and regulatory changes
Qualifications / Skills
-
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or related preferred.

Candidates who have completed relevant coursework or have partial college education in these fields are also encouraged to apply

Experience at least one year in business development, sales, or account management.

Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills

Excellent negotiation, persuasion, and closing abilities

Analytical mindset and ability to interpret market data

Self-driven, results oriented, and proactive

Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g. Salesforce, HubSpot) and sales tools

Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively
- Lean Six Sigma certification preferred
